Why subscribe?

I write about key developments in the literacy space as well as broader challenges in K-12 education. I tend to publish my thinking freely, and this Substack will generally do the same.

By popular demand, I may develop develop a weekly digest for paid subscribers, rounding up the key developments in the space, especially in the literacy realm. Hit me with your thoughts about the idea.

You can subscribe for free or pledge (to opt-into that weekly digest) here:

About Me

I’m an entrepreneur-turned-children’s advocate with firm conviction about our ability to improve reading, math, and learning outcomes in the United States.

My career began in the tech startup world, then I moved into K-12 education. After serving as the Chief Marketing Officer for three different K-12 startups, including the fastest-growing startup of that era, I shifted into advocacy work. I’ve been fortunate to work with many of the top leaders in the literacy space on efforts to promote research-aligned teaching approaches to educators, elected leaders, and parents.
